Accuracy and "as of" dating

We build calculators on official rules — Budget enactments, Department of Expenditure orders, quarterly small-savings notifications — and we label every perishable figure with the date it was last verified. Rules and rates change, sometimes mid-quarter, and despite best efforts errors are possible. Always verify current figures with official sources (incometax.gov.in, indiapost.gov.in, rbi.org.in, doe.gov.in) before making a financial decision. Calculator outputs are estimates; your bank, employer or assessing officer's computation is the one that counts.

Scenario content

Some pages model events that are not yet final — notably the 8th Pay Commission, where recommendations have not been issued. Such figures are clearly labelled as scenarios based on publicly discussed assumptions, not predictions or leaked facts.
